Downloading a Film

Download an encrypted film to this device and manage the download progress.

Before a film can be played, its encrypted media must be downloaded to the device. In Convoy Cinema you start and manage downloads from a film's details screen using the Download control, which turns into a live progress panel while the download runs.

Before you start

  • Open the film you want from the Films list.
  • The device should have enough free disk space for the film.
  • You can track active downloads from the top bar — a "N downloading" badge appears while any download is in progress.

How to download a film

  1. On the film details screen, click Download.
  2. The button changes to Starting…, then a progress panel shows the download percentage and status.
  3. While downloading you can:
  • Pause the download and Resume it later.
  • Cancel the download.
  • Retry if it fails.
  1. When the transfer finishes, the app shows "Processing file…" and then "Download completed successfully!".
  2. Once complete, the Download button is replaced by Play, and the film now appears under the Downloaded Films tab.
