Convoy Cinema is the desktop application cinemas use to download, key, schedule, and play back encrypted films. Before you can do anything else, you sign in with the account issued to your cinema. This is the first screen you see when you launch the app.
Before you start
- You need the email address and password for your cinema account (issued by your head office / administrator).
- The device must be online — sign-in validates against the Convoy head-office service.
- After a successful login you may be prompted to pair this device with a screen. See Pairing a Device to a Screen.
How to sign in
- Launch Convoy Cinema. The "Login to Your Account" screen appears.
- In the Email field, type your cinema account email address.
- In the Password field, type your password. Use the eye icon on the right of the field to show or hide what you typed.
- Click Login.
- On success a green "Login Successful" message appears and you are taken to the Films screen.
What happens next
- If this device has not yet been paired to a screen, a "Select a Screen" window opens over the Films list. You must complete that step before you can play films — see Pairing a Device to a Screen.
- Your session is remembered between launches. The app keeps you signed in and quietly refreshes your access in the background, so you rarely need to log in again on the same device.
Common errors

| "Invalid email or password" | The email/password combination was rejected. | Re-check both fields; confirm the account with your administrator. |
| Email field shows "Invalid email address" | The value in the Email field isn't a valid email. | Enter the full email address. |
| Login spinner never completes | The device is offline or can't reach the service. | Check the network connection and try again. |
Notes
- The "Forgot password?" link on the login screen is not yet functional — contact your administrator to reset a password.
- To sign out later, open the profile menu at the top-right of any screen and choose Log Out.
