Each device running Convoy Cinema must be linked to one of your cinema's screens (auditoriums) before it can play films. Pairing tells the app which screen this machine drives, and the paired screen name then appears in the top bar of every page. This is a one-time step per device — Convoy Cinema prompts you automatically the first time you reach the Films screen on an unpaired device.
Before you start
- You must be signed in — see Signing In.
- Your cinema must already have screens configured at head office. If none are available you'll see "No available screens found. Please contact your administrator."
- Pairing is required for media playback; you can't dismiss the prompt without choosing a screen (closing it returns you to the login screen).
How to pair this device to a screen
- Sign in and land on the Films screen. If the device is unpaired, the "Select a Screen" window opens automatically.
- Review the list of available screens. Each row shows the screen name and its short name.
- Click the radio button next to the screen this device should drive.
- Click Confirm Selection.
- A green "Screen successfully associated with this device" message appears, the window closes, and the Films list loads.

Confirming the paired screen
After pairing, the top bar shows a Screen chip (monitor icon) with the paired screen's name on every page. If that chip is empty, the device is not paired.
